DMX began rapping as early as the mid 1990s. In May 1998 He released his first album called It's Dark and HELL IS HOT. The other albums he released were... and There was X, the Great Depression Year of the Dog... again The Redemption of the Beast Gran Champ, Flesh of Blood and Flesh. His album titled ... and Then There was X was also nominated to win a Grammy for the Best Rap Album category in 2001. His musical career was complemented by appearances in movies as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five - Exit Wounded, Never Die Alone - The Bleeding Romeo MUST Die Backstage - Beyond the Law Lockjaw - Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
